Biggest Morning Tea 2018
On Thursday 25th May 2018, we hosted our Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea. We were truly humbled by the generosity of our patients and community and raised a grand total of $1661.85, contributing towards research, prevention programs, advocacy and support services for those people and families affected by cancer. The statistics are that 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85 so all money raised is vitally important.
Third Avenue Surgery in conjunction with GP After Hours Mount Lawley, provided morning tea for over 120 patients and members of the community, and gifted them with a ‘Goodie Bag’ full of samples, treats and products, including our own Keep Cups and oral care packs from Third Avenue Dental.
We could not have hosted this wonderful event without the support of these amazing businesses who donated prizes and items for our raffle and / or our patient ‘Goodie Bags’. Their generosity was greatly appreciated.
Thank you to these businesses:
St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital, The Dispensary Mt Lawley, Third Avenue Dental, Clear Health Psychology, Beaufort Physiotherapy, Centrepod Podiatry, Australian Clinical Labs, Lions Hearing Mount Lawley, Perth Cardiovascular Institute, Jane Stoltz Nutrition and 2nd Ave IGA.
Our sincere gratitude is also extended to the individual Doctors and staff who personally donated raffle items, baked and prepared food, and donated their time to help prepare leading up to the event and to help host on the day.
Our First Prize raffle item was a $150.00 Coco’s voucher, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, Sheridan Pillows and towel set and an Aesop travel pack, all kindly donated by St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital.
There were an additional 7 major prize baskets, some worth hundreds of dollars, and 5 minor prizes. All winners were contacted and have collected their items.
We look forward to hosting another Biggest Morning Tea in 2020 and hope you can help us make that as successful as this one.
